This is the second of our new weekly updates. Each week, we’ll be sending out a message filled with important information about the upcoming week as well as highlights from the previous week. Please try to read the message each week, as it will be our primary method of communicating things you need to know.

Thu – at MS Track – First Leadership Retreat for senior female athletes (see

Thu – Hip Series and the Wednesday Special training – 8:30am
Thu – Conditioning @ Liberty 9:00am
Thu – “Nutrition for Distance Athletes” @ 11:00am in the PE Classrooms/Team Rooms in the basement of the high school. We want as many athletes as possible to attend!

What a great start to our summer conditioning season!! We had approximately 60 girls each day last week. It’s great to see so many willing to put in the hard work! On Friday, the captains had great attendance as well. AWESOME JOB!!
Keep up the great work this week! Thursday is a busy day – pay close attention to the details above. Don’t miss Coach Lauren’s nutrition presentation at the HS that day! Also – continue logging your miles!! This is the last week of June and calendars can be turned into Coach McPherson.
What’s the Senior Leadership Retreat? For the past decade+, the boys team has had optional leadership meetings open to all senior athletes. At those meetings, seniors are encouraged to think and speak about what it means to be a leader on the team. They focus on those athletes that they admire and what it is that they admire about them. Basically, the idea is to teach our athletes what it means to be a captain/team leader.
