Family Picnic/Run-A-Thon/Drive-A-Thon Notes – In as few words as possible, bring food, drive a car, meet new people, watch kids run, and eat.
– We are relying on each family to bring a dish to pass. The document linked above has those details
– Please make plans for two adults to drive a car between 5:00 and 8:00. It’s better than selling cookie dough and coupon cards.
Four big goals of the Run-A-Thon/Family Picnic
1 – XC families get a chance to meet each other
2 – XC coaches get to meet the families of their athletes
3 – Promote the sport; youngsters see XC as something challenging, demanding, and enjoyable!
4 – Easy/painless fundraising as parents drive a car
